Time Check’s Ups and Downs

In spite of all the bad press, the people of Time Check Neighborhood are trying their hardest to fit into the recovery process. I hope you enjoy our first edition of Northwest News in the pictures above.

Many of us on the east side of Ellis feel that others think our ‘recovery’ is fine and dandy and that the city  has paid for these houses they already had torn down, but that just isn’t the case here!  I just mowed my neighbor’s lawn so that he wouldn’t have to worry about it.  The city already took his house down so why hasn’t he been paid and why does he  have to take care of the city’s yard work?  I wonder if this ‘charge’ the city always incurs for mowing someones lawn is also  deducted from the money through the buyout?  I just wonder how much more this city wants from these people who have lost everything!

Homes have fallen in the name of an “eminent threat” while houses like this one stand!
