A new day

I think it is important to start with the article listed above because this city KNEW well in advance that a the 2008 flood would be devastating and they knew it was coming more than 40 years ago yet they still blamed the flood for the blighting of our historical neighborhoods! Our neighborhoods were not blighted naturally!  The CITY who hired contractors to come in and blight them under the guise of environmental companies who in reality look like they are manufacturing meth!  These companies were hired to REMOVE neighborhoods in the name of a POSH RIVERFRONT PROJECT  planned before the flood!

Now people are losing their homes because of a nuisance rule the city just made up!!  People are being robbed because they trusted our city government-their homes are being demolished without pay while homes like this one sit and rot!

I ask you this-how would you feel if you lost everything you ever owned because a CITY wanted to keep the “aesthetics” of a river they stopped taking care years ago and NEVER use?  People are gullible here in Cedar Rapids and it really irritates me when someone tells me to “be nice”.  Being ‘nice’ is what got us into this mess!

It wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t city leaders banking off our losses.http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1800260324&ref=mf

Why isn’t anyone helping the people this city is abusing to get their pre-planned river front project to “get rid of those people”.  There is an “economic cleansing” going on in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  The taxes are higher than ever and the services suck!

There is nothing 'radical' about wanting to save your historical neighborhood! There is nothing 'negative' for wanting an 'outside investigation' done a public service that has had a lot of embarrassing news, especially when they don't do their jobs! There is nothing 'odd' about wanting politicians to uphold the Constitution they swear to uphold when they are sworn into office! Follow @sibzianna View all posts by Ajai Dittmar
